I like to give and recieve :)

My goal is to become someone who can have just a little of something. I have no idea if and when that time will come. RIght now, I just no that certain foods are just too much for me to handle. And you know which ones as much as I do since you've been reading my blog!

Check out the Ezekiel products. The bread is actually quite good. I also have Ezekiel cereal which I also really like.

Hope today went just as good as yesterday!Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14535420481037281507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-3790832899570938932012-03-12T16:45:02.704-05:002012-03-12T16:45:02.704-05:00It really was, and so easy to make. It's thin...It really was, and so easy to make. It's thin sliced sirloin and bell peppers cooked in fajita seasoning and water. The bowls were baked in custard cups in the oven for about 5 minutes to get them crispy. Then she topped it with salad stuff, fat-free sour cream, and natural guacamole (only avacadoes and lime juice in it). Easy enough for an 11 year old to make - but delicious enough that we'll definitely be having it again!Joannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13807379587473251820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-20138889892861760952012-03-12T16:42:40.933-05:002012-03-12T16:42:40.933-05:00Girl, in all honesty, you was the one that got me ...Girl, in all honesty, you was the one that got me started on this eat clean kick. Reading your blog started plugging things in to my head - which caused me to start reading up on a few things. So, you shouldn't feel selfish - I LOVE that I have a partner in crime to help me through this!!

A little over two years ago, I had trained myself to have just a little of something - but I've long since lost that ability, I know that now. I gotta do what I gotta do to get that mentality back - and I can honestly say that I'm enjoying it thus far. And, I know, I really do have the most awesome Hubby and kids. :)

I haven't heard of Ezekiel bread, but you can bet your behind I'll be checking it out now. :)Joannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13807379587473251820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-37191409277130385992012-03-12T16:39:44.642-05:002012-03-12T16:39:44.642-05:00Actually, I did look up the evaporated cane juice ...Actually, I did look up the evaporated cane juice before eating the cereal. While it is still sugar, and made from the sugar cane, it is less refined, goes through less refining processes, and holds more nutritional value than just plain sugar.

My goal is to get rid of white, refined sugar. Sometimes it's impossible to completely rid myself of sugar - but if I can opt for a healthier version, I'm OK with it. Thanks for the info, though!Joannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13807379587473251820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-17755875347675193842012-03-12T11:23:16.802-05:002012-03-12T11:23:16.802-05:00That looks yummy..I'm going to have to try it ...That looks yummy..I'm going to have to try it :)Sharliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00908814034493703573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-32304863661436168622012-03-12T08:16:13.806-05:002012-03-12T08:16:13.806-05:00Woooooohoooooo!! I'm so excited you are doing...Woooooohoooooo!! I'm so excited you are doing this!! Happy for you and selfishly, happy for me because in my head, we are doing this together!! Clean Eating is something, as you know, that I'm learning about and loving. I find that it is easier to say NO to food that I know I shouldn't eat as opposed to saying, "well, I'll have a little..." A little doesn't work for me. Making the decision to not eat something and sticking with it can actually be the easy part. Make the decision as black and white as possible and move on.

I've had my moments and struggles but it's been the best learning experience I've had as a food consumer in a really long time.

The cool thing about your 'cheats' is that while you may have wanted to be a little cleaner as far as your detox goes, they were still healhy choices. And how friggin cute are your husband and daughter?!?! Seriously, that is the sweetest thing ever!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever heard of Ezekiel bread? That might be worth checking out for another time if you're not interested in eating bread this week.

Oh and I saw your faux-hawk and I LOVED IT!!!!

Can' wait to read about the rest of your week! You have inspired me to have a great food day, so thank you!!Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14535420481037281507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-34590826450670099812012-03-12T07:47:21.225-05:002012-03-12T07:47:21.225-05:00The second ingredient in Kashi GO Lean Toasted Ber...The second ingredient in Kashi GO Lean Toasted Berry Crumble is evaporated cane juice crystals (http://www.kashi.com/products/nutrition_info/golean_cereal_crisp_toasted_berry_crumble) which is a refined sugar. The cranberries and blueberries are also prepared with evaporated cane juice. More sugar added. Just FYI.Michelenoreply@blogger.com
