I think that regardless of beliefs or religion, everyone should get over themselves if something as silly as wishing someone Merry Christmas would be considered offensive.

Cathy - I didn't purposefully miss you... I promise!! LOL

Natoria - Thanks!! I'm actually pretty informed on the Pagan beliefs and traditions. It would blow some peoples minds to hear the celebrations done by Pagans around Christmas and Easter...some traditions may make more sense then.

Eimear - You're most welcome!! And Happy Holidays to you!!Joannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13807379587473251820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-13330471429046516912011-12-09T14:29:41.701-06:002011-12-09T14:29:41.701-06:00Thank you thank you thank you! I seriously don't know why anyone cares what a person says, the mere fact that they are wishing you a lovely holiday season should be enough. Honestly, people have way too much time on their hands. Happy Holidays! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-8927581512502778492011-12-09T08:15:17.619-06:002011-12-09T08:15:17.619-06:00I was going to point out that you forgot Yule, hah...I was going to point out that you forgot Yule, haha. December 25th is the day the Pagans used to celebrate the Sun's birthday and then Christians took it over. I am a Christian, but not ignorant to these things like some are. Crazy.

Merry Christmas!!MizTorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06422638634817566085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8241450536607462866.post-65153040924462769722011-12-09T07:39:05.613-06:002011-12-09T07:39:05.613-06:00Great post, Joanna!!!! And don't forget that ...Great post, Joanna!!!! And don't forget that there are plenty of Christians (such as myself) who don't celebrate Christmas BECAUSE it was based on a pagan holiday, which the Bible clearly states we shouldn't celebrate. The Apostles didn't celebrate Jesus' birthday after he died -- they continued honor God's Feast days, the Sabbath, and -- of course -- Passover. Having said that, I smile and say thank you when someone wishes me happiness -- just as you said! You are one smart woman!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04574268843230811961noreply@blogger.com
