Have you got something on your mind that you've been holding in? Have you done some things this past week that you're not exactly proud of? Maybe, you've done some things you are proud of. Well, let it all out - and join me in True Confessions Tuesday!!
I confess that three day weekends mess up my whole routine. I wake up feeling like it's Monday, when it's really Tuesday....and I feel all out of whack.
I confess that I'm not complaining about said three day weekend... I mean, who does that? An extra day off? Not going to hear any complaints from me!
I confess that I'm happier than a fly on dog doodoo that the weather is finally cooler. It's been holding in the 70's for the past two days - and it's BEAUTIFUL!! I even woke up this morning feeling cold - and it made me happy.
I confess that I hope the summer is gone, and we are now entering Fall. I'm quite sure that if the weather gets back to the 90s and 100s again this year, I'm going to have a break down....or melt. Either is quite possible.
I confess that I'm really looking forward to going for a run after work today. Did you read that, folks? I said I was going for a run.....now I have to, because I said I would. I want to, though - so that helps.
I confess that I'm slowly becoming a Pinterest addict. Have you guys checked this site out yet? It's fantastic!!! Virtual bulletin boards that I can "pin" stuff to: recipes, classroom ideas, products, and anything else my little heart desires.
I confess that I posted the link to Pinterest because I'm hoping that you all will check it out -
I confess that I was pinning this weekend whenever I should have been working on stuff for work. See - three confession all related to Pinterest!! You really want to check it out now, don't you?
I confess that I was so excited when Hubby and I sat down yesterday morning and made a meal plan for the week. Hubby's not working this week - which means one thing to me: He's going to cook!! Not only is he going to cook, because he does that most days, but he's going to cook delicious, healthy dishes ALL WEEK!! Oh yeah!!
I confess that I wasn't as excited once we were done checking out at the grocery store. Holy Martian Undies, we spent a lot of money. It was worth it, though...cause now I'm set for breakfast, lunch and dinner all week long.
I confess that for the most part, I stuck to the shopping list and bought NO JUNK! I did buy some things to snack on.. but wait until you hear this. For snacks this week, I bought baby carrots, trail mix, veggie chips, and apples!! I even bought little baggies, so that I can watch my portion sizes!!
I confess that I was really happy, yesterday, after visiting with Butter and his therapist. She informed me that the doctor is now thinking he may NOT be bi-polar!!! After the testing they have been doing, they are moving along the lines of thinking the main cause of his issues has been the Tourette's. Now that they have decreased his medication, they are noticing the tics have increased, but his anger and mood swings have decreased significantly. Even though Tourette's is still a serious condition, and there is no cure - it's a lot easier to manage. Butter won't have to be on so many medicines, and he'll learn some great coping skills to help manage the condition. There's also a slim chance that he may grow out of the condition. No promises, but it happens.
I confess that I'm really missing Butter. It's so hard to have a child away from home - especially when he's in a hospital and I can't be with him every day. I keep telling myself that he's in good hands, but it doesn't make the pain any easier to deal with. The minimum he'll be there is another 30 days, and I'm hoping that the minimum is all he needs to be there.
I confess that yesterday, I kind of got back in to my "girly mode" - which has been missing for a while. I bought two new dresses that are super cute and were on sale...double bonus! I even bought a new lunch box - that's pink camo!! I didn't really need a new lunch box, but I'm not exactly thrilled about carrying a green Planet 51 lunch bag. I'll feel way more grown up and girly with my pink camo!!
I confess that I now realize I'm in serious need of a mani/pedi STAT! I'm still wearing polish on my toes from my graduation!! GASP!! That was in May!! Yes, as you can imagine, they look absolutely hideous, and only the top centimeter of my toenails have polish on them. This type of toe sabotage is only conducive to not caring about my physical appearance for the past three months. Goes to show how important my weight loss journey is. Not only does it help me focus on decreasing my body size - but it also brings out the gene in me that cares about stuff like toe nail polish, and how gross my feet look after three months without a pedicure.
I confess that even though I'm sure there's so much more I could be confessing - my mind won't stop thinking about Pinterest. So, I'm going to call it quits for today - and go and find some great stuff to pin on my boards. I told you it's becoming an addiction!! UGH!!
OK, so now it's your turn. Go spill all of your confessions on your own blog and come back here and tell me about it. Already have a post for today or don't own a blog? No problem - feel free to confess away in the comments section.
Have a great Tuesday, everyone!!
Till next time. ;)

ReplyDeleteWhile I know that it's really hard for you to have your son away from you, I'm really heartened to hear they are getting closer to making an accurate diagnosis. That's wonderful.
