It's Time To Take My Life Back.....Yep, I'm Starting OVER!!

Yesterday, I went to my parent's house for a cook-out.  The weather was a BEAUTIFUL 71 degrees.  Every moment being there, I just wanted to be outside...and I was, for the most part.

For weeks, no make that months, I've been saying that once the weather got back to a more comfortable temperature - I was going to really get back on the horse and start my weight loss journey again.

OK, so I really shouldn't have blamed the weather.  I mean, there's absolutely no reason I should have taken a hiatus in the first was an excuse.  But, with everything I had going on - in my mind more than actually causing me to be too busy to work-out or eat healthy - I just didn't have the motivation to get my rear off the couch and do anything.

Yesterday, I wrote a FANTASTIC post about my parenting skills.  It really came from my heart - and probably the best piece of writing I've done in a long time.  It had nothing to do with weight loss - but it really helped get a lot off my mind.  What?  You didn't read it?  Well, then you must!! Linking back to that post, just a little, I want to mention my Peanut - once again.  While I was in the glory of the beautiful weather, yesterday, I walked out of my parent's house to find this happening out on the lawn.  This is my first video to post on the blog!!  Check it out...

When I told the kids to go outside, enjoy the weather, and get some exercise - this isn't exactly what I had in mind.

Peanut had the kids going like that for almost half an hour.  They loved it!!

After seeing that, absorbing the weather, and really thinking about what my life has been like these past few months, I realized something:  I'm ready to start over.

Yep.  You heard me right.  I'm ready to begin my journey, once again, and finish what I've started - so many times.

So, as of today, I'm officially starting the clock over again.  I plan on making some goals and plans, but that will come later this week.  My first goal is just to take things slowly, and get my momentum back.  Running will be coming back, eating healthy....all making a new debut at the top of my "MUST DO" list.

Just this morning, Hubby and I sat down and made our weekly meal plan.  The shopping list is ready for all of my meals this week, and later today we'll be going grocery shopping with one rule in mind:  No Junk!

It's a fantastic post full of motivation - and something I could definitely start living by.

This is it - my official declaration for getting back to weight loss.  I know it's long overdue - but I'm back, again, and keeping my fingers crossed that this time I can DO IT! I'm starting off at 226.4lbs.  I'm not thrilled by that number, but I've got to start (again) somewhere, right?
