Note to self... before making DRASTIC changes to my blog and blog address, I should probably give some warning before I do so.
Geez Louise, it's been a scary morning.
I made the decision to completely give the blog a make-over... not so much to the layout, cause I really like the color scheme, but to everything else. New blog title. New blog description. And the part that almost killed me - new blog address.
Just an FYI - before you think about changing your blog address, you might want to do so AFTER you've given all of your blog followers some warning. You won't believe the trouble I went through after I realized I changed everything...and none of my followers would be able to find me. I actually deleted my old blog address. Can you believe that? I don't know what I was thinking. I know better than to delete a web address before redirecting traffic to the new one. Thankfully, with some assistance from Hubby, I was able to get my old blog address back in order to post a notice on where to find me now.
So, now that's all out of the way... what do you think?
After a lot of thinking, considering all the feedback I've received, and putting my life in to perspective, I decided that this blog format is the best for my current life situation. No matter what I want to blog about, it all fits nicely in to the scheme of things.
You'll notice I didn't really give up anything to do this. I can talk about teaching. I can talk about the kids. I can talk about my weight loss woes. Without feeling a drop of guilt or worry that I'm not blogging about what I'm supposed to be blogging about. Which I know is really a ridiculous feeling to have - I mean, it is my blog after all.
But, the truth of the matter is, I'm not a weight loss blogger any more. I'm just a blogger. Someone who loves to write, share her life. If I lose followers, so be it. This isn't a popularity contest. I don't write in order to lure people in to reading what I have to say. They either like it or they don't.
I just can't restrict myself anymore.
So, here you go. My new blog. My new theme. I sure hope you'll stick around.
