True Confessions Tuesday

You know the drill by now, right?  Although, I have had a couple of new followers this week....so for their benefit....

Every Tuesday, I spill my guts in a segment called True Confessions Tuesday.  I totally stole borrowed the segment from The Sisterhood over at Shrinking Jeans.  It's fun, it's cleansing...and you're more than welcome to join in and do it on your own blog.

Now for some confessions....

I confess that... last night I realized that food is not going to be my vice this holiday season.  Nope, it's not going to bother me at all.  It's all going to be the beverages.  Holy Mother of Chickens.  One 1/2 cup of Egg Nog packs 200 calories....and it's my most favorite thing to drink during the holiday season.  That and flavored coffee.  The creamer that I use... Almond Joy flavor, Peppermint Mocha, etc....all pack about 60 calories per tablespoon.

I confess that... despite knowing about the calories crammed in to a tablespoon of coffee creamer, I've been drinking it like water.  Which would probably account for my weight gain this week.  Seriously.  There have been some evenings where I've drunk about 4 cups of coffee....all with the coffee creamer.  Have you tried the Almond Joy coffee creamer though?  Jesus, Mary, and Chocolate.  Almond Joy is my favorite candy bar... but now I can have it in my coffee?  Although, now thinking about it...I'd probably do myself a much bigger favor by just eating an Almond Joy every night rather than drinking one.

I confess that... I am so freaking excited for Thanksgiving.  Not because of the food.  Not because I will have 13 people crammed in to my house...three of those people being under the age of 4.... nope...it's all because that night I will get to put up my Christmas tree and let the Christmas festivities begin!!  That is, if I'm not too exhausted from having 13 people...three of those being under the age of four...crammed in to my house.

I confess that... I'm as equally excited about going Christmas shopping this weekend.  Sanity and I are heading over to my mom's house on Saturday and then my mom's going to drive us around for the day to do some Christmas shopping.  No kids...except for my teenage brother.  Can you say HEAVEN??  Oh, it's going to be so much fun!

I confess that... I'm trying not to think too much about my not losing weight.  I mean, not that I'm giving up - I mean I'm trying to not be so hard on myself.  I know that goes against everything I've said in the past week... but I just don't want another think on my plate to stress about, right now.  That's not to say that I'm just throwing caution to the wind and stuffing my face with everything in sight.  Except coffee creamer, apparently.

I confess that... even though I'm not stressing about not losing weight, I have been so good with my eating.  I'm still planning my meals.  I'm trying Smart Choices for lunch this week....the first one I had yesterday was pretty good.  Dinners have been pretty good, as well.  Last night, we had baked salmon and couscous.  Couscous seems to have become the preferred choice over brown rice in my house, right now.  The best part about all of it?  The planning makes me so much less stressed....and the whole family are back to enjoying healthy, wholesome meals every night.  Win!!

I confess that... the new, cheap pair of boots I bought on Saturday are now my favorite boots that I own.

I got them in gray.  These little gems - that only cost me $14 at Wal-Mart - are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn.  They look SUPER cute with a dress and leggings, too!  I've seen them for the past two years, but didn't really like the way they looked.  I bought a pair for Jelly - and then, after trying on a pair for myself, decided that I did like the way they look... but more importantly LOVED the way they feel.  I may go back for the black and brown ones....someone take my debit card away from me, m'kay?

I confess that... I'm really tired of the warm weather.  Hold your attacks, people!  It's November.  I want some cold weather!!  It's been running in the low 70's here all week.  Which to some may be the perfect weather - and it is - but not to a person who LOVES cold weather.  Plus, it helps my mood with the whole excited for the holiday stuff when it's about 40 degrees outside.  I don't want the cold weather to come in February...I want it now!! (in my best Veruca Salt voice)

I confess that... because I overslept this morning, I have now run out of time for any more confessions.  It's OK, I didn't really have that much more to share, anyway.

Alright, everyone have a great Tuesday.  Go write your confessions on your own blog and then share them with me....OK??

Till next time. ;)
